It all started with a sticky note...
Founder Rebecca Hecht was scouring the town one day in search of the perfect location in which to create the salon of her desire. Nestled snugly on lower Lexington was a small, unassuming spot on which she set her sights. She scribbled a message on a sticky note & left it on the door.
The rest is history.
She has created an environment neither intimidating nor pretentious. Clients are welcomed with a hot cup of tea or cool water. Each guest receives a scalp massage before their hair cut, giving them a moment to relax into the temple-like atmosphere.
Our prices are accessible, which shows our clientele that we appreciate regular folk who work hard for their money. Each of us supports a cause of our own choosing with a give-away of our time and services. We also offer a 10% discount on haircuts to students on Tuesdays.
Adorn is a co-operative environment. We feel that working together as colleagues enables each of us to respect one another as professionals.
